Five AFRICAN-AMERICAN MALES

Jack Dillingham, Henry Lee, and George Irwin

The men were accused of killing the Lyerly Family. They were wrested from
the local authorities one night while awaiting trial. The New York Times
reported that the men were tortured with knives before being hanged and
then bullets were pumped into the bodies.
