Young Girl A young girl from Pickens, Holmes County, Mississippi was riddled with bullets as she tried to run from a mob of nine white men. Her brother had borrowed 50 cents and when he paid the loan, the white man wanted 10 cents in interest. The boy didn't have any more money, so he and his father fled. The nine white men attacked the boy's home, killing his sister.
